Qualifications:
- Technical Powerhouse: Advanced degree (MS/Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field. A minimum of 8+ years of hands-on experience building robust data visualization solutions.
- Visualization Toolkit: Proficiency in visualization libraries (D3.js, Plotly, etc.), programming languages (Python, R), and database technologies (SQL, NoSQL). Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) strongly preferred.
- Agile & Collaborative: Experience working within agile development methodologies, partnering with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to create impactful solutions
- Design-Minded Data Expert: An intrinsic understanding of visual design principles, user experience (UX), and the ability to seamlessly blend aesthetics with data clarity
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Architect the Analytics Experience: Design scalable, high-performance visualization platforms that integrate seamlessly with modern data architectures.
- Champion Data Integrity and Best Practices: Establish robust data governance protocols, and champion rigorous ETL/ELT processes, ensuring visualizations portray accurate, trustworthy insights.
- Empower AI-Driven Insights: Integrate machine learning and AI models into your visualizations, enabling predictive analytics and proactive decision-making.
- Craft Immersive Visual Narratives: Design compelling dashboards and reports that go beyond static charts – create actionable narratives that instantly illuminate business opportunities.
- Lead by Example: Mentor junior team members, elevate visualization standards across the company, and drive innovation through knowledge sharing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape Data’s Visual Language: Develop and refine our visualization style guide, ensuring consistency, clarity, and visual impact that reflects our brand.
- Be the Data Flow Master Design and implement optimized data pipelines and architectures to power visualizations, handling high-velocity, complex datasets in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.
- Optimize Performance & Security: Analyze and enhance the performance of data visualization systems, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Embrace the Cutting-Edge Research, evaluate, and introduce emerging visualization libraries, tools, and techniques to stay ahead of the curve.
