Description:

- 2-month contract with the possibility to extend
Our client is a government organisation looking for an experienced DBA to join their team. This is a 2-month contract with the possibility to extend and paying up to $78.00 + super per hour ($86.00 + GST).
The role will see you responsible for the performance and management of the database across the organisation.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 4 years in at Database Administration role.
- Expertise with SQL, Postgresql, Oracle, Azure SQL database and data services (AWS RDS).
- Strong experience with Oracle (11g and 12c).
- SQL 2008 R2/2012 experience.
- Experience with configuration, administration on SQL server and performance tuning.
- Experience with Disaster Recovery.
- Exposure to cloud technology.
- DBA certifications including SQL Server or Azure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work to SLA deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Recommend and implement database solutions where required.
- Mange the platforms on-premise and cloud environments.
- Working closely with business and technical teams including Business System Analysts to ensure that the database is running smoothly.
- Install and run upgrades and configurations using MS SQL server tools.
- Performing system analysis and directing installation of DB management systems.
- Working with APIs and integrations between applications.
- Ability to produce documentation to a high level.
- Set up and enforce database security.
- Develop SQL scripts and provide direction to technical teams and troubleshooting support to stakeholders.
- Perform data recovery and extract data to compile reports where required.
