Marklund is seeking highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of Day School Administrative Coordinator. This is a full-time position based out of Marklund’s Nathan Education Center in Elgin, IL. This position has a schedule of Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.

Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Three years of Administrative Assistant or clerical experience preferred.
- Experience in a nonpublic or public-school system preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Operation of front desk (answering phones, opening and delivering mail, greeting visitors)
- Facilitate Staff meetings & maintain meeting minutes
- Communicate with all staff regarding completion of required paperwork
- Maintain regulatory records per DHS & IDPH regulations
- Ensure staff changes are processed to Human Resources and facilitate hiring process
- Schedule appointments and maintain Outlook Calendar for Administrator
- Liaison to staff, volunteers, and parents
- Other duties as assigned
