Te Kowhiringa I The Opportunity
Our Enliven Day Service is a Tuesday to Friday, community-based programme, focused on engaging older adults in high quality, interesting activities that matter, in a safe and enriching environment.
As a Day Service Support Worker, you are responsible for the care and support of clients attending our local Day Service. This includes preparing and delivering the activities, helping our clients participate in a meaningful way that suits them, and associated administration and tasks to enable the day to occur in a streamlined and effective manner. Other tasks can include driving clients to and from the programme, and assisting with the preparation and distribution of meals.

We’d love to hear from you if you are a Support Worker with experience organising and facilitating group activities for older people. In addition, you will have:

  • A Health and Wellbeing certification at Level 3 or higher.
  • Experience in meeting the needs of older adults, including those with dementia or disabilities.
  • A Full New Zealand Driver’s Licence (sorry but we cannot accept any international licences).
  • Excellent communication skills including clear spoken English.
  • A caring manner and positive “Can do” attitude.
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing circumstances.
