Deal Desk Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION

Act as subject matter expert on deal strategy and pricing best practices:

  • Ensure compliance with discounting, pricing, revenue approval policies or guidelines
  • Be an advocate for internal cross functional organizations to understand the details and/or issues of key transactions
  • As the primary contact, serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point to Sales teams for all topics regarding quoting, discounting, pricing, commercial terms and approvals
  • Help identify opportunities for improvement where the Deal Desk can add further value, improve the process, and educate cross department functions
  • Communicate and provide support to for updates/changes to policies/process and help ensure there is clear understanding in the field on Deal Desk best practices

Facilitate successful transactions:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide guidance to Sales Representatives on quotes in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
  • Assist Sales in the structuring of complex quotes within the quoting tool
  • As the subject matter expert, provide guidance to Sales and cross-functional partners in all aspects of quote creation, relevant terms and approval process

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 2-4 years of Deal Desk, sales operations or functional sales support experience, preferably in the SaaS industry
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the big picture
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Team player mindset, taking satisfaction from sales representatives closing deals and teams achieving quota goals
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Salesforce.com including Salesforce CPQ
