The Role:
This position is to join the European Deal Desk Operations Team which is part of the Commercial Centre of Excellence department. In this role, the Deal Desk Analyst is part of a dynamic team, chartered with providing critical support in the areas of pricing, licensing, contract structure, business approvals, and training for high value deals.
In addition, you will work closely with both the Sales & Alliances teams across Europe to support them in winning deals. You will also be involved in project work, to enhance and support the company strategy of driving new SaaS revenue.

The Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary liaison with all Sales teams on all high value non-standard, pricing and deal structuring queries to facilitate deal closure.
  • Develop strong relationships that can be transferred across the business, this is vital as the first point of contact for many separate business units including; Legal, Finance, Support, Customer Operations, Compliance and Revenue Recognition teams.
  • Work with Sales and broader business units to ensure a clear understanding of the company’s policies and ensure deals meet the compliance standards expected.
  • Assist in reviewing complex bid documents and contracts to ensure that we are able to meet all requirements from a Revenue Recognition and Legal perspective.
  • Ensure deals are structured correctly, processed efficiently and align to company policies and JSOX regulations.
  • Provide recommendations to management on the profitability and strategic nature of specific deals.
  • Assist with capturing key internal business trends globally including competitive positioning, product sales within regions, average discounts, win/loss analysis, and other key market insights and trends.
  • Identify avenues of enhancing business processes, coordinate with sales, legal, finance and IT to implement changes.
  • Work with the internal Sales team to identify and qualify suitable Marketplace opportunities.

You Have:

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in a second European language is desirable
  • Proven previous Software Industry, Deal Desk, Finance, Operations or Pricing experience preferred.
  • High level of interest in AWS, Azure & Google Cloud Marketplace possibilities.
  • Primary degree in commerce, business studies or equivalent.
  • Experience with revenue recognition principles and working in/with Finance Teams is preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly analytical, with sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize at times of high volume e.g. Quarter-End.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to work well with sales as well as internal departments such as Customer Operations, Finance and Legal.
  • Salesforce.com experience.
