Description:

A named leader by Forrester in the sales performance management space, Varicent was founded in 2005 when we pioneered sales performance management software. Evolving quickly to become the fastest growing software company in North America according to Deloitte’s Fast 50™ in 2010, Varicent was acquired by IBM in 2012 and has since been re-founded as an independent global business serving mid-size and enterprise clients with our full suite of solutions to assist in smarter territory and quota planning, efficient lead to revenue operations, and the fastest and most flexible way to pay sellers accurately and on-time. We are looking for talented, driven people that can make an impact across our organization.
Moving at our pace brings a lot of change, complexity, and ambiguity. Varicenters are comfortable being uncomfortable.

Before you apply, consider if you :

  • Respect diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Be resilient and resourceful in face of ambiguity and thrive on (rather than endure) change.
  • Bring critical thought and opinion — and embrace differences and disagreement to get work done and move forward.

At Varicent, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We believe in equality and recognize the value that diverse perspectives bring to our team.
As the Deal Desk Solution Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our company’s revenue potential. You will be part of a Deal Desk team of 3 people. You will be responsible for working with Sales Teams on structuring, reviewing and executing complex deals, ensuring alignment with company’s objectives, policies and profitability targets

Responsibilities:

  • Deal Structuring and Analysis – Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, legal and other stakeholders to structure deals that align with business objectives, evaluating pricing, terms and risks involved.
  • Deal review and approval – Work with Deal Desk leadership to assess the financial and strategic impact on the business. Provide guidance and recommendations for deal improvement.
  • Process Enhancement – Continuously refine and improve deal process and workflows to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration – Foster strong relationships with various departments to facilitate effective communication, negotiation and resolution on deal related issues.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting – Work with Deal Desk leadership on implementing metrics and reporting mechanisms to track deal performance, identify trends and provide insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Risk Mitigation – Identify potential risks in deals and work proactively to develop strategies for risk mitigation and management.
