About the role
An exciting and rare opportunity exists for a Dealership Parts Manager to lead, support and manage the daily operations of our Parts Department at two locations, CMI Hino Derrimut & Campbellfield. Based at CMI Hino Derrimut, you will be a hands-on leader who will mentor and motivate the teams, always striving to align the CMV values whilst continuously delivering the very best customer service.

Your responsibilities will be;

  • Establish specific marketing and merchandising programs for parts inventory to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Analyze market and develop potential for the parts department services
  • Control and maintain parts inventory, manage stock adjustments and stock order amendments as necessary.
  • Ensure manufacturer relationships are maintained to the highest standards
  • Oversee all clerical functions within the parts division including receipting of stock, back orders, and accounts payable
  • Provide direction and support for parts employees to achieve key performance targets
  • Coordinate the functions of parts department staff with other departments in the business
  • Evaluate the performance of the parts team and provide regular feedback/performance appraisals
  • Provide ongoing training and development for all parts department staff
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation including WH&S

Leadership

  • Providing direction and support to the parts department to achieve objectives and targets
  • Coordinating ongoing training, development and product knowledge for all parts personnel
  • Promoting the managerial responsibility of reporting supervisors and conduct individual performance reviews
  • Regularly reviewing operational and financial targets and results and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Work Closely with the CMI Hino Management Team to support and promote dealership objectives and KPIs.
  • Uphold and proactively promote the CMV Group culture and values ensuring they guide all activities and direction of the business.

Responsibilities:

DEMONSTRATED SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:

  • Experienced Parts Manager with knowledge of heavy vehicle industry
  • Extensive knowledge of heavy vehicle products and parts inventory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commercial acumen, sound computer and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Drivers Licence
