Essential Requirements:-

  • Proven experience in data science—working with and deriving insights from disparate, large data sets. Applying “big data” analytical approaches to derive recommendations and insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Strength in translating sophisticated, technical analyses into clear and actionable recommendations for business partners.
  • Strong business knowledge and attitude to provide guidance on how data can be applied to answer business questions. Prior experience supporting adherence, patient support or multi-channel marketing programs a plus.
  • Expertise and significant experience with statistical and data manipulation software and data visualisation tools.
  • Expertise with a variety of statistical/data science techniques. Experience with machine learning a plus.
  • Background in a analytics or a decision/behavioural sciences function and experience with sophisticated quantitative methods. Excel in problem solving and develop innovative, resourceful solutions to sophisticated, unstructured problems

ABOUT THE ROLE

Internal Role Title: Decision Making Data Scientist
Location: Sydney, Australia #LI-Hybrid
About the Role:
This role will be responsible for leading data-driven insights and analytics that drive performance and craft the future of all Novartis Innovative Medicine patient onboarding and adherence programs at our Patient and Speciality Services (PSS) organisation.

Key Responsibilities :-

  • Lead the central initiatives to leverage decision science and behavioural science to discover insights and find opportunities to optimise patient onboarding and adherence programs
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders and possess strong communication skills in order to present results of sophisticated analyses in a clear and actionable manner
  • An adherence analytics/data expert for PSS, providing problem solving leadership to enable analytic-based solutions to business questions and challenges.
  • Proactively identifies business priorities/challenges and changes in the healthcare landscape impacting onboarding and adherence and translates into data performance metrics and sophisticated predictive analytics for adherence
  • Conducts exploratory data analysis. Maintains and monitors adherence program reporting. Designs experiments and tests hypotheses. Applies sophisticated statistical and predictive modelling techniques to build, maintain and improve on real-time decision-making.
  • Provide input into design of adherence programs across brands by modelling impact of various options and design approaches, for example financial and behavioural segment impacts.
  • Leads discussions with external and internal vendors to ensure high standard of PSS data and analytics in adherence.
  • Rapidly problem solves and resolve data and analytics challenges for adherence as needed, working closely with the Director PSS Data Effectiveness and Analytics, data stewards, 7 leads, brand teams and external partners.
