Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Defence Scheduling Coordinator within our Western Australia (WA) operations. This pivotal role requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional communication skills, and demonstrates high adaptability while maintaining structure. As a leadership position within the allocated contract, the Defence Scheduling Coordinator will report directly to the Regional Security Manager - Defence, overseeing all aspects of workforce planning and project management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Efficiently schedule and roster both permanent and ad hoc/casual workforce.
  • Manage and maintain rosters, including identifying recruitment needs and providing leave coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with site requirements and qualifications.
  • Manage and allocate ad hoc work, ensuring accurate data entry to minimize payroll errors.
  • Track, measure, and report on labour usage, providing recommendations to the Wilson Security WA, Defence Leadership Team.
  • Manage associated systems and tools to ensure accurate and efficient rostering.
  • Ensure correct employee payments (Payroll function).
  • Provide first point of contact and support for employee and customer inquiries.
  • Lead ongoing projects related to workforce planning and optimization.
  • Point of contact for the National Operations Centre (NOC).
  • Manage and reduce dropped hours/ shifts.
  • Coordinate travel requirements for some FIFO sites.
  • Track and report on Overtime, Dropped Shifts and general staffing trends.
