We’re looking for an Apprentice Electronics Compliance Engineer to join our Hardware R&D Team in Cambridge, UK.

This Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to experience from day one what is like to be an integral part of our team in fast paced working environment. Don`t worry about your technical capabilities, you will learn about all technical aspects of our hardware products and learn about relevant regulatory requirements and test processes covering radio, EMC and safety aspects.
As an Apprentice Electronics Compliance Engineer, you will quickly start to work with our hardware products and learn about relevant regulatory requirements and test processes covering radio, EMC and safety aspects. Your activities will include pre-compliance testing, reviewing and researching design information, preparing formal documentation, preparing product samples, supporting formal compliance testing and performing some hardware design verification testing. You will develop an understanding of regulatory compliance for different regions of the world. You will work closely with the Hardware Development team, and will also work with Product Management and our global Sales teams.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND INTERESTS

  • A-level Physics preferred (or equivalent).
  • Good GCSEs in Maths and English language essential.
  • Good communication skills and self-confidence.
  • An interest in electronics and radio technology.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to learn new information and concepts quickly.
  • Full driving license (or learning).
  • Aged 18 plus.
  • Resident in England.
  • The position is office-based in Pampisford, Cambridge.
