Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist, you will play a vital role in fostering cultural competence among KCR staff while establishing an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, developing training programs, and creating networking opportunities to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within KCR and its community partners.
Reporting Structure: Reports to Community Services Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, with preference for a degree
- Minimum of three years of related experience in diverse perspectives, cultures, and communication
- Knowledge and understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion issues
- Excellent interpersonal, cross-cultural, written, and verbal communication skills with an outgoing, positive, and friendly personality
- Expertise in working with participants facing diverse social, emotional, or mental health challenges
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Past crisis/suicide intervention training is an asset
