Description:
The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other similar field
- White Card
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working in the large-scale engineering and construction projects preferably hydroelectric schemes or tunnelling projects in a similar role
- A history of delivering delay analysis commissions including schedule analysis and report writing
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft office suite applications, Primavera and Microsoft Project
- Sound knowledge of construction risks, Contract terms and conditions preferably for EPC/Turnkey Civil Engineering Projects
- Familiarity with the commercial and legal issues impacting the delivery of projects
- Experience with negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Claims Delay Analyst will support the Project Controls Manager and the Claims Lead in claims identification, forensic analyses, notification, drafting of the claim statements including pursuing it with the Client (Employer) and following it alongside the legal team through various dispute resolution mechanisms like DAAB and Arbitration.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify the claims/variations with respect to the head contract and the subcontracts
- Knowledge of all project planning techniques
- Carry out delay analysis autonomously
- To assist with dispute resolution and claims planning matters, including construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis
- Project based tasks to include fact-finding to detailed analysis and quantification of delay
- Demonstration of critical paths & consequent disruption
- Development of the master and construction schedules, liaison with works package contractors to ensure all programmes are consistent with the construction schedule.
- Demonstration of entitlement to EoT occurring as a result of delay/ disruption/ loss of efficiency. Production rate analysis and work cycle analysis to demonstrate entitlement to EoT, drafting of claim and negotiation strategy.
- Development of the works baseline programme using Primavera P6
- Advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques and delay analysis critiques.
- Carry out forensic analyses of the claim circumstance based on contract and factual background
- Coordinate with quantity survey and cost control team to incorporate the cost impact of the claim, and assist drafting claim statements for timely submission to the Employer’s Representative and its continued follow up
- Closely coordinate with the Planning Team to receive the necessary input for delay analysis
- Follow up communications and attend meetings with the Employer on the submitted claims for resolution
- Furnish desired inputs to the legal team for dispute resolution.
These positions are in remote challenging areas with extreme cold temperatures which need to be considered before applying for these roles.
