POSITION PURPOSE:

Represent our store’s image in a positive manner by providing our customers with helpful, courteous service from our deli department.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Interaction with customers will be friendly, courteous, positive and enthusiastic.
Serve our customers needs by supplying them with desired deli items.
Accurately weigh salads, meats and cheeses.4
Slice meat and cheese when needed.
Follow sanitation practices and health regulations and wear appropriate attire.
Fill and display deli cases with product to look appealing and fresh according to company standards.
Directs or shows customers where items are in the store.
Cleans the deli area, including but not limited to the case, cooking utensils, floor, cooking pans, holding bowls, tables, slicer, etc. during all shifts.
Prepare food items for self-service case and special orders.
Make deli items, including but not limited to, sandwiches, cold salads, lettuce salads, taco dip trays, veggie packs, etc.
Wrap, package and label prepared foods.
Take specialized orders from customers.
Face and rotate existing product.
Deal with customer concerns and/or complaints.
Greet customers by using the Ten-Four Rule.
Stays productive while punched in.
Assist in any or all bakery functions
Other duties as they are assigned.
