We are looking for an IT Demand Manager with drive & commitment to work in our fast-paced, dynamic, customer-focused environment.
Role Purpose:
As a Demand analyst you will work across the Retail & Commercial IT team to govern our delivery process. You will also help to communicate our key initiatives & progress across the department. You will have the opportunity to bring new idea’s and improved ways of working across our delivery. You enjoy structure and take pride in knowing where projects are, what skills are required and what opportunities we have for speeding up delivery and providing your ideas and input to others.
We are looking for someone independent and energetic to join Retail & Commercial where we deliver and manage all the systems and application that are used in stores (retail and wholesale) across all brands and across Trading & Commercial. With the vast estate across ROI and NI and our never ending ambition to deliver value for consumers and retailers alike we are always spinning up new projects and delivering at high pace. We have a broad group of stakeholders who we work closely with the ensure we deliver value and prioritise correctly.

You will be managing the demand and supply of projects in Retail & Commercial through:

  • Streamlined way of collecting project and activity requests (you will have to ability to influence how this should be done)
  • Evaluate business demand to ensure correct product team alignment.
  • Analysing execution of projects and resources ensuring cost-optimisation where possible while delivering high quality
  • Working closely with project managers and the PMO to ensure accurate status across time, delivery and cost versus budgets
  • Working directly with our managers to ensure effective project delivery using waterfall or agile delivery methodologies as appropriate
  • Ensure key artefacts are available and maintained incl. including plans, backlogs, status reports, RAID logs etc., dependent on delivery methodology
  • Identification and management of risks, issues, and dependencies across the whole portfolio
  • Lead a benefit realisation evaluation after implementation
  • Lead the creation of a service catalogue across our team.
  • Support the marketing of our deliveries across stakeholders – across multiple marketing channels.
  • Challenge and bring new thinking to the table.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills:

  • Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions
  • Experience in data analysis and budget management
  • IT orientated degree (Marketing/Customer Service also favorable)
  • Experience in project delivery or BA role or demand management roles
  • Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, specification, verification, and the ability to apply them in practice
  • An understanding of project management methodologies such as Waterfall, DevOps, Agile, Kanban
  • Team and collaboration orientation
  • An understanding of software development lifecycle, quality assurance and information security
