JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join our Planning and Procurement team. Reporting to the Planning/Procurement and Purchasing Supervisor, the Demand Planner will be responsible for forecasting demand for biologics production, managing Kanban items, and collaborating closely with the Operations and Quality Control teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations research, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or related roles within the biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in demand forecasting techniques and software tools.
  • Experience in managing Kanban systems and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities:

Demand Forecasting: Use historical data, business trends and input from cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for our iologics production. Collaborate with Operations and Quality Control teams to incorporate relevant factors into the forecasting process.
Inventory Management: Manage Kanban items for various teams within the business, ensuring optimal inventory levels to support production schedules and minimize stockouts.
Production Planning: Work closely with the Production team to translate demand forecasts into production plans, taking into account lead times, capacity constraints, and inventory targets.
Quality Control Collaboration: Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and quality control requirements, facilitating timely release of materials for production.
Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules and meet demand forecasts.
Continuous Improvement: Find opportunities for process improvements in demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning. Develop and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators related to demand forecasting accuracy, inventory levels, and production schedules. Take corrective actions as needed to address variances and optimize performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Control, Procurement, and Logistics, to ensure alignment of demand forecasts with business objectives and operational requirements.
