Responsibilities:
THE ROLE AT VICTORIAN ABORIGINAL HEALTH SERVICE
The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) was founded to address the specific healthcare needs of indigenous communities in Victoria. Over the years, it has expanded its services to provide comprehensive medical, dental, and social support. VAHS is dedicated to promoting community well-being through active participation in events and supporting research into ongoing community needs.
This traineeship is located in Fitzroy and can be either full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM.

THE DENTAL ASSISTANT ROLE INVOLVES:
- All aspects of chair-side dental assistance to dental clinicians including supporting culturally safe and respectful care for all patients.
- Supporting the delivery of person-centered dental care and excellent customer service.
- Undertaking general reception duties and administrative tasks to support the service.
- Working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
