PERMANENT FULL TIME – 80 HOURS PER FORTNIGHT

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our professional and supportive Dental Department at MDHS in our brand new clinic. This position would suit a well presented and highly motivated individual looking to further their experience and career within a community setting in a central location. This role ensures that eligible members of the community have access to respectful, high quality and efficient public dental services.
You will work within a strong collegial environment, be supported by an experienced team and have diverse continuing education opportunities such as working under general anaesthetic. Be part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing dental services to both adults and children, you would also be responsible for the provision of a broad range of clinical duties within the scope of publicly funded dental services, including patients with disabilities and complex medical histories. We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

  • Bachelor of Dentistry or similar qualification
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Operator’s licence to use irradiating apparatus, provider and prescriber number
  • Computer skills and experience with Dental IT software or patient management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to converse effectively with a wide range of clients, families, staff and health professionals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to staff development, continuing education and quality improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Current Bachelor of Dentistry or similar qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Post graduate experience in the Australian Public Dental Sector would be desirable.
  • Operator’s licence to use irradiating apparatus, provider number and prescriber number.
  • Victorian Drivers Licence
