As a Department Manager - Project Management , you will have functional leadership and oversight of the Project Manager and Project Engineer disciplines across WA & NT. This role will report through to the Project Delivery Director.

Responsibilities:

The role responsibilities include:

  • Lead the function to ensure effective resource management process is implemented across the function. Build and maintain the depth of capability and capacity to effectively deliver on customer commitments and meet the current and future needs of our business strategy.
  • Provides for the learning and career development of all Project Managers and Project Engineers within the Location towards enhancing the talent pipeline and retention of our people.
  • Leads the effort to attract and recruit new Project Managers and Project Engineers to meet the current and future needs of the business.
  • Demonstrate behaviour and business practices commensurate with a Worley Life and a culture prioritizing safety, health and wellbeing.
  • Actively demonstrate and champion Worley’s Values (Life, Stronger Together, Rise to the Challenge and Unlock Brilliance).
  • Ensure effective resource management process is implemented across the function that optimises the talent and development of people across the Location.
  • Actively support Sales in the Execution strategy elements development and key resource selection for new prospects/proposals to secure and deliver future work.
  • Monitor chargeability and resourcing levels whilst effectively considering the Location’s strategic business outlook and approach.
  • Ensure the growing capability of our people in the function.
  • Support project governance activities and act as DPE on selected projects.
  • Ensure Project Management community is developed and maintained. For example via info sessions and lesson learnt and Lunch & Learns etc.
  • Build an understanding of Worley’s diversity and inclusion objectives and actively demonstrate ongoing contribution towards achieving these goals
  • Support the implementation of new company processes, systems and capability enhancements across projects.
  • Support the implementation of GID in the project execution
  • Drive Talent Management; this includes participation in quarterly talent forums and implementation of talent plans, coordinating continuous performance improvement conversations for the function and development of department succession plans.
  • Champion and drive workforce performance reviews, development planning and implementation of plans.
  • Ensure close functional connection and collaboration exists between the Location, Region and Global disciplines to deliver world class services and solutions to our customers and industry.
