Job Description

WHAT WILL MY ACCOUNTABILITIES BE?

  • Act as the governance authority for all department deployments utilising Jira, ensuring all deployments are tracked and visible for all stakeholders with efficient processes and workflows.
  • Accountable for deployment readiness; ensuring we complete the checks which need to be performed ahead of any deployment and for ensuring these have been completed.
  • Manage and oversee Jira ticket creation, tracking, and resolution, ensuring that all deployment-related tasks are accurately documented, and conflicts are tracked and monitored.
  • Support the planning and sequencing of various deployment and testing activities for our restaurant and digital platforms, leading up to a successful deployment.
  • Measure and report on deployment readiness and raise risks and issues to reduce future incidents.
  • Lead the deployment stand-up meetings, providing visibility and coordination for all deployments across the department.
  • Attend relevant multi-functional team meetings and contribute as required.
  • Use strong communication skills to effectively engage individuals involved in deployment processes, acting as a persistent advocate for timely ticket resolution and deployments.
  • Maintain a process-driven mindset, continuously seeking opportunities to optimise and streamline deployment processes.

You will work as part of the Deployment & Testing team which forms part of the wider Technology team for the UK&I and Global business. We are a high energy team, looking for an individual who can add their talent and personality to make us even better.

An individual fulfilling this role will be passionate about and demonstrate success in:

  • Previous experience and knowledge of Jira processes, management, ticket creation and workflows – and a curiosity to learn more.
  • Jira admin knowledge – desired.
  • Previous deployment experience required, with an understanding of software deployment and the software lifecycle.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to meticulously track and manage deployment-related data.
  • Strong communication skills – written, verbal and presentation.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and experience in dependency management.
  • Computer Literate - Sophisticated Excel, Word PowerPoint, Jira & Confluence.
  • Comfort and experience working in a fast paced and changing working environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and curiosity to explore new ways of working.
  • Display leadership behaviours and characteristics and a desire to develop self.
  • Experience and an ability to think outside of the box to tackle problems supporting a more frequent and smoother deployment process.
  • Seeking opportunities for continual improvement.
