Position: Deployment Manager - PFS EV Charging

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Relevant infrastructure program/project management experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully:
  • Managing and delivering construction projects of varying complexities and sizes.
  • Managing and delivering multiple simultaneous construction technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Ramping up new programs, ideally involving new power service and/or distributed generation or storage.
  • Adhering to the highest quality and standards through excellent cost control, project forecasting skills and ability to develop detailed schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, commercial leases, and construction exhibits as well as an understanding of the permitting and grid connection process.
  • Experience working with the relevant authorities to ensure a smooth path and expedited schedule.
  • Understanding of the design process and elements, as well as the underlying electrical calculations regarding power and currents; ability to develop new design approaches.
  • Keen interest in electric vehicles and energy systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of individuals including building officials, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, Applegreen Electric direct vendors and suppliers, as well as colleagues and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in both technical and commercial communications.
  • Experienced working in high pressure and dynamic working environments.
  • Ability to identify potential problems and resolve accordingly and efficiently.
  • Ability to travel as required/deemed necessary.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our team is currently experiencing a period of rapid growth and in order to support this ambitious growth we are looking to recruit a Deployment Manager to join our Urban Charging team. It is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to excel and with a unique opportunity to gain exposure and to interact with senior members of the leadership team on a regular basis. The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can fit into their new environment seamlessly and adopt a hands-on approach to their role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Applegreen Electric expands, the responsibilities will evolve and change over time. The initial responsibilities will primarily focus on the following areas:

  • Responsible for the planning, organising and managing of multiple construction projects from pre-construction phase through to activation for customer usage.
  • Ensuring our projects successfully adhere to all agreed timelines and budgetary constraints as well as meeting all expected standards regarding quality, health and safety.
  • Regularly report project status, updates, and metrics to senior management, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Identify challenges affecting feasibility and timeline for installations, and provide creative and resourceful solutions to ensure site delivery without delays or compromises related to scale or customer experience.
  • Develop, establish and manage detailed project schedules, budgets and resource allocation plans.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors, suppliers, vendors and necessary equipment, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best resources for the project.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, addressing concerns and ensuring effective communication and guidance throughout the project.
  • Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, providing guidance, motivation, and resolving any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure and compliant work environment.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, health and safety documentation and other relevant records.
