Are you an experienced New Zealand registered teacher with a passion for leadership? Our Palmerston North Campus is seeking a dedicated Deputy Campus Principal to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role reporting directly to the Campus Principal.

Role Overview
The Deputy Campus Principal will manage a small teaching load while also undertaking senior leadership duties to ensure the highest standards in all areas. You will assist the Campus Principal in leading campus staff, students, and stakeholders both strategically and operationally. As a highly visible member of the senior leadership team, you will build positive relationships with all stakeholders and be prepared to deputise for the Campus Principal when necessary.

Key Accountabilities

  • Vision, Values, Ethos, and Guiding Principles: Uphold the ethos, values, and guiding principles of OneSchool Global.
  • Educator and Leadership Development: Ensure staff accountability, implement quality assurance frameworks, and foster professional growth through mentoring and coaching.
  • Campus Operations: Oversee seamless operations across the campus, promote a culture of learning, and manage student behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Curriculum and Resources: Implement strategic direction in curriculum, ensure differentiation and personalisation, and manage resources effectively.
  • Teaching Delivery: Model exemplary teaching standards and the OSG Learning to Learn Framework.
  • Compliance and Improvement Planning: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and contribute to campus improvement plans.
  • Student Outcomes: Maintain high expectations for student achievement and ensure effective interventions for underachievement.
  • Human Resources Management: Appraise staff, manage recruitment, and handle disciplinary matters.
  • Student Support: Ensure appropriate provision for students with additional needs and maintain frequent communication with parents.

Application Requirements

  • Essential:
  • New Zealand registered teacher.
  • Experience with the NCEA framework.
  • Middle or senior educational leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of classroom challenges and child protection legislation.
  • Proven success in educational endeavors and digital learning techniques.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with self-directed learning models.
  • Familiarity with virtual learning environments like Zoom.
  • Success in strategic and school improvement planning.
  • Background in high community engagement settings.
