Description:

Swale Ward are looking to recruit a Band 6 Specialist Nurse to join and be a part of a well established friendly Multi-Disciplinary Team. Swale Ward is a forensic Personality disorder service, offering service-users intensive, high quality person-centred interventions provided in an inpatient setting. Swale Ward provides a psychologically minded and trauma-informed service and will enable you to expand your skills and knowledge in the field of Personality Disorder.
As a team we are consistently focused on the provision of quality care which is evidence based and as such actively support staff development through provision of formal and informal training to ensure that our staff are afforded the skills required to effectively and efficiently to support recovery
We strive to work collaboratively with patients, their carers and other service to provide a high standards of care to our patients to minimise risk and promote recovery.
You will have the opportunity to foster your Personality Disorder experience, conduct enhanced risk assessments and have the opportunity for clinical development and leadership. Swale Ward focus on promoting a positive environment both for staff and patients
The successful applicant would benefit from having inpatient experience to support the day to day operational and managerial requirements, as well as exceptional engagement skills and will be proactive in working with people with complex needs.
The candidate will be expected to provide senior leadership and supervision to junior staff across the service and would therefore benefit from having a high level of clinical knowledge and experience of offering evidence-based, value recovery-focussed interventions that facilitate recovery.
There will be a requirement to work flexibly across the service, with some weekend and out of hours working.
It is expected that the successful applicant will have previous experience and training for this post or be willing to work towards obtaining further qualifications/experience. The successful candidate will be put on the appropriate salary pay point based on their previous experience in the role or similar role. If you do not have the appropriate training we are open to the development of staff and will be encouraged to engage in your professional development needs.
