Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Deputy Clinical Lead, Immunisation & Vaccination Service.
We are looking for an experienced, pro-active and dynamic nurse to be part of our team, leading the clinical teams responsible for providing a high standard of vaccination services to the eligible population of Powys.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Clinical Lead to develop and maintain high standards of care within the Vaccination Service, in line with the National Immunisation Framework.
The Deputy Clinical Lead will have responsibility for general and operational management of the vaccination teams Pan Powys, which includes both vaccination centres (Newtown and Bronllys) and outreach clinics.
The post holder will have extensive experience within immunisation & vaccination and be expected to provide exceptional clinical leadership to the vaccination team. They require excellent clinical knowledge of all aspects of immunisation and vaccination, with a solid understanding of clinical governance, strategic thinking and experience of leading and managing a clinical team.
The ability to travel to different vaccination sites across Powys Teaching Health Board is essential for this role.

Provide professional as well as operational management and leadership for vaccination service clinical teams.
Ensure safe clinical practice and adherence to all standards, policies and procedures.
Ensuring smooth running of the centres and outreach sessions daily; implementing problem solving of issues on site, managing time and coordinating the sessions
Being a point of contact for the clinical team leads teams and the wider team working within the centre.
Understanding and providing clear, robust clinical governance and guidance for the clinical team.
HR responsibilities such as managing staff under local policies (for example, recruitment)
Work closely with and deputise for the Senior Clinical Lead Nurse.
Represent the service and Health Board at local and national level.
Maintain close working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders to ensure processes are lean and all resources optimised for best use aiming for zero waste.
Auditing services, training, all aspects of staff management, including recruitment, retention and succession planning.
