The Suburban Connect consortium, comprising CPB Contractors, ACCIONA and Ghella, have been selected by the Victorian Government to deliver the first major tunnelling package on the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East project.
The package includes construction of a 16-kilometre section of the project’s twin tunnels, including tunnelling between Cheltenham and Glen Waverley, 55 safety cross passages between the tunnels, station boxes at Clayton and Monash and the construction of portals – the entrances and exits to the tunnels – at the stabling facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver internal communications and employee events for all Suburban Connect staff.
  • Oversee all SC brand, marketing and advertising requirements – in consultation with SRLA
  • Oversee delivery of the community events outreach program in communities
  • Coordinate large stakeholder and community events, including site visits and the annual site open day
  • Partner with parent companies corporate communications support functions (CPB/Ghella/Acciona) to facilite grow and support their business needs and requirements.
  • Promote and celebrate SC key focus celebration areas and events (aligned with project focus areas like diversity, inclusion, industry participation, gender equity, sustainability and aboriginal participation)
  • Work with leadership team to develop a PR program for the project aimed at highlighting project benefits and opportunities for every Victorian during and post construction.
