Responsibilities:
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Deputy Director of Nursing and Midwifery (DDoNM) to join the team, working with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery to provide efficient and effective day to day operational leadership and management of a comprehensive range of hospital services .
You will be responsible for the organisation and management of nursing services to ensure the provision of patient centred, outcome directed care. The DDoNM supports the organisation to achieve the aims of the safety management system, to establish and maintain a positive health and safety culture in the workplace and to consult with workers and others when making decisions that may impact upon the health, safety and welfare of those in the workplace.
Clinician engagement and leadership has been a prominent feature of the public health system for a number of years, where clinician led clinical standards, safety and quality improvements have become a major focus. The LHD is committed to the strengthening and ongoing involvement and clinician engagement of staff that provide direct patient care in the planning, delivery, improvement and evaluation of health services.
