Description:
Population health challenges in SBU Health Board include significant inequalities in population health with high mortality from substance misuse and suicide. There are progressive agendas in both local authority areas and a Health Board that is rapidly transforming with an explicit commitment to population health and an appetite for innovation. The successful individual will be adept at navigating the Welsh public health system, in building effective networks and in influencing without direct authority. A creative approach to working with stakeholders and partners will be coupled to a hunger to deliver demonstrable outcomes.
The successful individual will bring professional credibility and additional capacity in robust leadership to engage, support and develop the public health team. Interested candidates are invited in the first instance to contact Jennifer Davies, Interim Executive Director of Public Health, for an informal and confidential discussion via Jennifer.Davies10@wales.nhs.uk
