Responsibilities:

We are in search of an accomplished, ambitious and talented Manager with proven experience in people management and particularly the F&B departments. This role will have you oversee the development of high performing, customer focused teams within a high-profile environment. This is a key Operational and Management role. The main purpose of this role is to monitor and ensure the delivery of high level hotel operational standards, provide inspirational leadership, dealing effectively with guests, management and staff to consistently provide excellent guest service in all areas of the property with particular focus on Food & Beverage departments.

Duties and responsibilities for this role will include:

  • To assist the General Manager in the everyday running of the property as a profit-driven, customer-focused, team oriented business.
  • To achieve or improve on the hotel’s budgeted financial plan by driving sales, controlling costs, and managing expenditures.
  • Responsibility for the efficient running of all F&B Operations ensuring the highest standard of customer service
  • Supporting the front office and accommodation teams
  • Responsible for staffing levels, recruitment, training, and personnel files.
  • Deputising for the General Manager in their absence.
  • To promote a pro-active, team-building environment throughout the restaurant & bar and ensure inter departmental co-operation.
  • Ensuring the Management Team is trained appropriately and in accordance with company and legislative standards.
  • Ensuring the presentation of each department of the hotel is in accordance with company standards.
  • Encouraging a good working relationship with all staff and with the local community.
  • Holding regular communication meetings with management and staff.
  • Developing members of staff and the management team through the use of performance reviews, training, development and promotion.
  • Leading by example and taking responsibility for day to day operational decisions
  • Showing awareness of the daily business of the hotel and communicating details of this business to each department.
  • Availing of opportunities to promote hotel facilities both internally and externally.
  • Encouraging guest feedback to ensure guest satisfaction and the improvement of service.
  • Participating in the recruitment and selection of new employees

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Must have previous hotel supervisor or management experience
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience is essential
  • Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
  • Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the hospitality industry
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Communicate fluently in English (written & oral).
