Description:

Successful candidate should have two years post post graduate Mammography certificate experience and HCPC registration
Proficiency in operating mammography equipment and related imaging software
Some managerial experience is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Good IT skills required due to the complexity of the role.
Excellent time management and organisational experience is essential.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality imaging results.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards in patient care and confidentiality.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Lead Mammographer and the team, assuming responsibility for ensuring the quality assurance (QA) of the department in alignment with NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) guidelines.
They should posess excellent Mammography skills and should be able to troubleshoot any equipment issues.
Perform mammographic examinations according to established protocols and procedures.
Review mammograms to ensure optimal quality and completeness, identifying any areas requiring additional imaging or repositioning
The post holder will also be the departments Health and Safety Representative.
Coordinating with administrative staff to schedule clinics efficiently, ensuring adherence to waiting time targets.
Will actively participate in the training of Mammography and Assistant Practitioner students.
Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and best practices through continuing education and training
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret findings and assist in patient diagnosis.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to mammography services.
Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures related to mammography services.
