Ambulatory care is an innovative way of providing a safe, patient focused, flexible, same day emergency service for appropriate patients. The service aims to prevent unnecessary hospital admission and provide a better patient’s experience. Our Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU) offers easy access to early diagnostic tests, specialist staff, and review by a hospital consultant in one place.
We are looking for exceptional, committed, caring and compassionate Band 6 Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will be forward thinking, pro-active and motivated to assist in providing the highest standard of care to our patients possible whilst treating our patients with dignity, compassion and respect. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work within the ACU team.
The post holder will have responsibility for triage of patient referrals, ongoing assessment of care, timely patient interventions and discharge. Successful applicants will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a band 5 staff nurse within an acute medical setting, you should possess a wide range of appropriate clinical skills and have a keen interest in developing their career in Emergency Care.
