What the role involves:
Reporting to the Head of Development & Projects, this position is integral managing and delivering key development project works across the RBL portfolio of brands, encompassing all aspects of design and project management. The role entails new store development and refurbishment programs.
- Prepare and implement the overall annual construction programme
- Ensure full understanding of the brand franchise design criteria and ensure compliance
- Management of external Architectural and other consultants in line with project requirements
- Development of budgets with consultation from external and internal providers
- Ownership of refurbishment capital approval documentation including report writing for CAPEX approval
- Management of external project resource as required
- Ensure tendering methodology is aligned to business requirements
- Assurance to all contractual/legal/building code requirements
- Role model Restaurant Brands and Marketing Team values and behaviours
Skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualified Architect with commercial Design Management and Project Management experience
- Advanced written and oral communication skills
- Experience and ability to contribute to planning of a development pipeline
- Demonstrated skills in business management, budgeting, planning and reporting, combined with the ability to engage key decision makers and drive strategy
- Strong business acumen and be commercially minded – comfortable using data, understands cost drivers, evaluates opportunities, and builds on any learnings
- Strong planning and time-management ability to efficiently deal with multiple competing priorities
