WHAT’S MY MISSION?
Within our specialist Civils & Drainage Design Team, we are dedicated to creating innovative and sustainable design solutions that set new industry standards. Within this team, we are looking for a bright, energetic, and commercially astute individual to fulfil a Design CAD Technician role. You will be responsible for managing the design process using technical expertise. The job involves a variety of design, drafting and bill of materials activities. This includes preparing and updating product drawings, general arrangements, interpreting customer layouts and take-offs and billing of material maintenance. You will be offering design solutions for stormwater and wastewater systems using products in the Marshalls C&D range.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Experience working within a design and technical environment.
- Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D CAD.
- Ability to work within design standards/codes.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Be able to demonstrate flexibility to adapt and respond to change.
- Self-motivated and proven ability to consistently meet project deadlines.

Working within our established processes, you’ll bring your expertise to the table, ensuring that our designs meet the highest technical standards. Your role will involve collaborating closely with colleagues, providing support, and maintaining clear communication channels to address technical queries with finesse, whether over the phone or via email.

As part of our team, you’ll work alongside Lead Engineers, contributing your ideas to enhance our design and technical support offerings. Your proactive approach will also see you playing a pivotal role in refining our standard detail drawings and technical design information, driving continual improvement in everything we do.
