Your Impact at Empire
The Design Coordinator ensures the accuracy and inclusion of all necessary design documents required to build a home. Documents receive final approval by the Coordinator in accordance with processes and systems before circulating the documents to all appropriate internal departments to ensure there is no disruption in the homebuilding process. This role is located at our Design Centre in Caledonia, ON.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and verifies correct, all design documents including but not limited to the Amendment, Options & Upgrades Agreement, Colour Chart, Floor Plan, Kitchen & Bathroom Drawings, Acknowledgement form, etc..
  • Processes purchaser or Empire initiated late changes (cancellations or add-on’s) following standard process guidelines.
  • Prioritizes design package file completion according to the construction schedule.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a thorough understanding and knowledge of pre-construction upgrade options as well as standard and upgrade features and finish options displayed in the showroom.
  • Participates in site walks, design debriefs, product knowledge sessions, weekly and monthly meetings, etc., as required.
  • Suggests and presents process efficiencies and improvements to Design Centre Manager.
  • Investigates and responds to all incoming design related emails / phone call inquiries from internal departments and external trade partners as well as homeowners with timely responses and effective solutions.
  • Builds rapport and strong working relationships with Construction, Procurement, Customer Care, Warranty, and other internal departments.
  • Collaborates with Customer Care to resolve homeowner inquiries, PDI and design-related warranty items, etc., as required.
  • Assists with the completion of high volume re-selections, as required.
  • Special assignments as required
