SKILLS / ABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:

• Proficiency in CAD Software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Revit) and related tools.
• 1+ years working with SolidWorks required.
• 1+ year working with shop machining and manufacturing techniques preferred.
• Ensure that all drawings adhere to dimensional accuracy standards and manufacturing tolerances, considering material properties and production techniques.
• Proficient in MS Office and other applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work, with the ability to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies in technical drawings.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with production and office employees.
• Able to use handheld inspection equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues, propose innovative solutions, and adapt to changing project requirements.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Technical trades schooling or engineering background preferred.

The primary responsibility of the design draftsperson is to produce designs and specifications into detailed technical drawings using specialized software. The draftsperson will collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to procedure accurate and precise drawings that serve as blueprints for production or manufacturing projects.
