JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of Airbus Defence and Space (AIR ST) you will have the following responsibilities:

• Ability to design structure components and assemblies that are optimized in terms of weight, cost, performance, production/assembly requirements while highest safety of the Product is assured using appropriate design tools;
• Ability to verify the compliance of a detailed design solution toward baseline of validated requirements for a single sub-system / equipment / component / module;

QUALIFICATIONS

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering or similar field;
• At least 5 years of design experience in aerospace/space manufacturing;
• Detailed design knowledge of structural elements / components;
• VPM knowledge is desirable;
• Experience working with Catia V5 and Catia V6;
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and non-metallic materials is required;
• Self-reliant and systematic way of working;
• Independent working method and high quality awareness;
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German would be an advantage
