Design Engineer for magnetic couplings and maritime mechanical seals (f/m/d)

Responsibilities:
Design of magnetic couplings and mechanical seals of the business unit according to customer specifications in compliance with applicable guidelines including the corresponding documentation.
Independent preparation of designs and assemblies of magnetic couplings and mechanical seals of the business unit.
Technical clarification together with application engineering, sales and customer contact persons.
Independent preparation and review of design-relevant documents (production drawings and parts lists, etc.).
Independent execution of drawing modifications
Preparation and evaluation of design-relevant calculations
Contact person for product- or series-specific questions from production or purchasing (suppliers)
Processing of special tasks, active participation in the technical and organizational development of the IMSS area
Support of the product management in engineering relevant tasks
Qualifications:
Completed studies or technician / master craftsman (f/m/d) in mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline
Experience in the design / development of high-precision mechanical components
Knowledge in the field of sealing technology as well as in the field of pumps / agitators desirable
Several years of professional experience in the design of mechanical seals
Experience in the design of magnetic couplings / plain bearings desirable
Good knowledge in 3D-CAD, preferably SolidEdge / Teamcenter
SAP knowledge
Very good knowledge of the German language as well as good knowledge of the English language in word and writing
High degree of motivation and willingness to learn
Willingness to travel internationally
