Description:

Position Scope
We are seeking an experienced Designer Engineer who will work with an established team to provide support on both current and upcoming projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Fabrication Engineering or related discipline
  • Proficient knowledge of using AutoCAD and 3D modelling (Inventor) software
  • EGBC Registrant – P.Eng/EIT is a must
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment and engineering
  • Work independently, self-motivated, as well as a team player. Willingness to meet quick deadlines and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    Candidate with less experience will be considered as AutoCAD/Inventor Designer.

Responsibilities:

  • Design industrial freezers and food processing equipment systems based on Project Engineers’ instruction and hygienic design concepts
  • Develop and maintain design drawings, programs, documents, machine function descriptions, process, and design versions using AutoCAD, 3D modelling (Inventor/Solidworks) software in our FPS Autodesk Vault application
  • Create and input BOMs into ERP
  • Provide technical support and liaise between internal field support and shop staff in all facets of design and execution
  • Ensure all specifications & functions are met, optimizing cost and utilization of material and resources as part of the functional design in the freezer industry
  • Verify the designs meet original requirements from concept, analysis, modification, manufacturing inspection, installation, and testing to final commissioning
  • Work in compliance with all FPS administrative, health & safety policies and standard operation procedures
  • Provide direction and guidelines for junior staff members
  • Travel domestically and/or internationally to customer sites as and when required
  • Perform relevant job duties as assigned
