We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our Engineering Development & Delivery branch. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing effective investigation and design of various projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of scope, time, cost, and quality.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering permitting membership of Engineers Australia with experience in Civil Engineering design.
• Experience in the design of road and drainage works.
• Ability to investigate, problem solve and provided solutions to Civil Engineering issues
• Experience in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, computer word processing, database, spreadsheets, and simulation software.
• Ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

• A current Driver’s Licence.Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or ability to obtain one prior to commencement.

• Providing effective investigation and design of projects within Council’s Engineering Development & Delivery branch in relation to scope, time, cost and quality.
• Providing input into Council’s internal engineering standards and guidelines.Assisting with the assessment of customer concerns on engineering issues and providing a high level of customer service to all stakeholders and the community
