We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to our WMArchitect product range of single-use solutions.
In this role, you will be designing a new range of single-use bioprocessing bags, which will be a core component in the WMArchitect product range. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Production to design and support high-quality products. Your role will be vital to ensuring we continue to provide a world-class service that meets the demanding needs of the biopharma and medical device industries.

Responsibilities:
THIS ROLE WILL FOCUS ON:
- Design and draw state-of-the-art bioprocessing bags and other single-use products and assemblies under the WMArchitect brand using specific software packages.
- Research optimal film materials and bag manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Create technical documentation for products in line with the NPI governance process, including technical files and project design and development records.
- Develop prototypes for testing in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and determine appropriate testing and process validation plans.
- Record and analyze data from product development testing and provide summaries/conclusions to the project team.
- Work with local and global validation teams to ensure products are fully validated according to industry standards.
- Support ongoing quality programs for WMArchitect, including sterility and product testing.
- Create and maintain product part numbers in our enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
- Ideally, experience in the design and development of biopharmaceutical processing components and single-use systems.
- Proficiency with design software packages such as CorelDraw or SolidWorks.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Effective communication skills, including managing a variety of stakeholders with varied priorities.
