As an intern, you will
- Support innovation projects in the domains of Aerospace, Space, Defence, Transportation & Security, working on Smart City initiatives such as Smart sensors & Video Analytics, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles, new Space solutions and In-flight Entertainment and Connectivity projects.
- Apply Design Thinking (User-Centered Innovation) methodology to innovate with customers/users on complex systems design and development
- Be an integral part of the Marketing and Innovation team at Thales, and working with Thales customers
- Meet, learn from and interact with many domain experts who come from different backgrounds and expertise
- Opportunities to engage to Thales customers and partners
- Experience real working environment in multi-cultural teams, working with colleagues mainly in Europe and Australia
- Research and analyze market data and technology trends
- Understand how the corporate and technical departments of a company compliment and support one another
Specifically, you will be involved in the following activities:
- Assist to prepare for Design Thinking workshops in various engineering domains under guidance of Thales domain experts
- Understand objective of session and propose the program/activities, with guidance from the team
- prepare Inspiration Boards or other relevant materials, with guidance from the team
- prepare physical mock-ups (prototypes) to be used during sessions to engage users
- Apply design thinking techniques to co-design with customers/users
- Participate in Design Innovation workshops with customers/users
- Create/produce videos, infographics to help the target audience understand Thales’ products/solutions
- Build digital prototypes across multiple domains
- Build 3D Models of innovative products, when needed
- Prepare reports for innovation workshops, and produce Synthesis Posters
- Opportunity to propose and start new initiatives, to grow our business or products/solutions…etc.
- Provide support in product design: 3D modeling and 3D printing
- Assist to organize and prepare for product/technology showcases to customers
- Gather business intelligence and data to gain understanding of customer and market needs
