JOB SUMMARY

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Space Warfighting and Space Force Design Integration Analyst SME position within the Space Warfighting Analysis Center’s (SWAC) Force Design Integration Office (FDIO) and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is conditional on winning the award in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The ideal candidate will need a profound comprehension of strategic directives, operational scenarios, and the intricacies of warfighting concepts, enabling them to contribute effectively to SWAC analysis across various classification levels. You will directly influence critical USSF decisions, shaping resource allocation, policy formulation, and operational strategies. We require someone with a comprehensive understanding of space capabilities, coupled with a keen awareness of industry trends and best practices, to ease seamless integration into joint operations.
Your responsibilities will encompass translating USSF capabilities into a joint operational context, fostering collaborative efforts and ensuring alignment with overarching goals. You will be instrumental in crafting Force Designs across multiple classification levels on a recurring basis, leveraging your ability to distill complex analysis into actionable insights. Additionally, your liaison with the acquisition community will be vital in clarifying requirements and facilitating effective implementation.
Job Requirements:

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10+ years space operations or space acquisition experience demonstrating a deep understanding of the domain’s intricacies and challenges
  • Proven track record in space design and architecture development, showcasing proficiency in crafting innovative solutions to complex problems
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Joint Operational Planning and Joint integration, contributing to seamless collaboration across diverse military branches
  • Demonstrated expertise in navigating the complexities of DoD, IC, and Satellite systems, ensuring compliance with stringent security protocols
  • Skillfully support and integrate SWAC capability area force designs into a comprehensive Integrated Force Design framework, aligning strategic objectives with operational realities
  • Recommend, meticulously document, and continuously maintain SWAC-derived requirements, ensuring clarity and coherence in operational planning efforts
  • Identify and articulate force design dependencies and opportunities across various stakeholders, including joint, intelligence community, industry, and international organizations
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to establish investment priorities and delineate science and technology needs, informing strategic decision-making processes
  • Contribute insights to the development of future warfighting concepts, shaping the trajectory of space warfare strategies
  • Create and disseminate strategic-level Force Design Guidance in alignment with the Chief of Space Operations’ vision and priorities
  • Provide support in organizing and executing Force Design forums, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among stakeholders
  • Monitor and articulate Defense Planning Scenarios, facilitating informed decision-making at the highest levels of command
  • Identify key joint force design drivers within the context of evolving warfighting concepts and scenarios, informing strategic planning efforts
  • Champion innovative approaches to leveraging space capabilities in support of joint warfighting objectives, driving forward-thinking solutions
  • Interface effectively with Higher Headquarters Staffs (SAF, DAF) and Field Commands (SpOC, SSC, STARCOM), fostering cohesive collaboration and alignment
  • Proficient in rapidly generating decision-quality materials for senior leaders, distilling complex information into actionable insights
  • Exhibit a keen ability to comprehend and address complex technical issues, providing tailored recommendations to diverse audiences
  • Apply critical thinking skills in navigating dynamic organizational environments, adapting strategies to evolving challenges and opportunities
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, encompassing technical writing, presentation development, and interpersonal engagement, facilitating effective collaboration and knowledge transfer

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) field
  • Master’s degree (STEM or Management) desired
  • Key Skills/Experience Required for Interview Selection ONLY
  • This is conditional on winning the award in Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Salary range is based upon the award and subject to change ($170-185k)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
