Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Engineer and release interior passive safety products including automatic occupant sensing (AOS), sensing and diagnostic module (SDM), electronic satellite sensors (ESS), and pedestrian protection sensors (PPS).
  • Engineer, design, develop, and release, using Teamcenter, Vismockup and Engineering Change Management (ECM) tools, passenger vehicle automatic occupant sensors (AOS) including silicon filled bladders, pressure embedded electronic control units (ECUs), and silicon tubes, and front/side impact sensors, according to GM Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP) and to meet dimensional, electrical, regulatory (occupant safety), and timing requirements.
  • Provide full technical specifications to meet all legal requirements according to U.S. and global regions (North America U.S. FMVSS 208 Occupant crash protection, Canada CMVSS 208, Australian Design Rules (ADR) No. 69/00, United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UN ECE) No. R160.00 and R160.01, European Union (EU) No. 2019/2144, Israel FMVSS 226, Korean Motor Vehicle Safety Standards(KMVSS) No. 102, China GuoBiao standard (GBs) No. 39732-2020 (EDR), and global future market requirements, where vehicles will be commercialized.

ADDITIONAL JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • One (1) year of experience as an Engineer, or related role.
  • Experience with engineering and releasing, using Teamcenter, Vismockup and Engineering Change Management (ECM) tools, passenger vehicle passive safety or interior trim systems, and to meet dimensional, regulatory, and timing requirements, or related.
