JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and creative Design Technician to join our dynamic team at Wrightwood Furniture Ltd. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and development of our furniture products, bringing innovative ideas to life through precise technical drawings, 3D models, and detailed architectural design analysis. This position requires a blend of artistic vision, precision and technical proficiency to ensure that our products are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and producible.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience of 1 - 3 years as a Design Technician or a similar role preferably in the furniture industry.
• Excellent knowledge and proficiency in 3D design and modelling software like SketchUp
• Creative flair with a keen eye for detail, aesthetics and precision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  Work Schedule: Full-time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and refine detailed 3D models of furniture pieces using design and modeling software like SketchUp, etc.
• Creation of 2D drawings for furniture design.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to the design process.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of all design processes, revisions, and specifications for future reference.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to continually improve design processes and outcomes.
