UGL’s Telecommunications division, part of our broader Services business is seeking a Design Engineer for a Permanent role working on an upcoming NBM BDM project to manage Design Partners, program, and Quality Assurance

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or similar
  • Previous experience in a similar role within project operations
  • Extensive experienced with AutoCAD and other design software
  • Demonstrated experience using Office suite of applications
  • Effective communication and management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change and learn new systems and processes
  • Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously, maintain confidentiality and organise / prioritise demand

Responsibilities:

The Design Engineer will ensure all design works are completed to the expected level of quality, within budget, and on schedule. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, and coordinate all activities, from planning to closeout. The Design Engineer will also identify and mitigate risks and issues, communicate progress and challenges to stakeholders.
