Description:

For our client in Brussels we are looking for a Designer Specialist Secondary Systems. As part of a European transmission system operator, this organization ensures the reliability and sustainability of electricity supply in Belgium.
Mission

As a Designer Specialist Expertise Secondary Systems, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing standard plans/designs ("typicals") from suppliers.
  • Participating in factory acceptance tests of electrical equipment if necessary.
  • Drafting symbols in Autocad based on supplier plans/designs.
  • Drafting and/or reviewing standard plans (protection block diagrams and detailed principle diagrams) based on concept notes, standards, approved equipment, methodologies, and guidelines for use in investment projects.
  • Managing your own schedule according to priorities and deliverables.
  • Being responsible for updating and maintaining all standards/tools that use macros/VBA in Excel (within the domain of secondary systems).
  • Potentially designing/maintaining additional tools in Excel.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electricity, electronics, or automation.
  • Good knowledge of Autocad.
  • Proficiency in Windows Office applications.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and/or French, good knowledge of the second national language, as well as good knowledge of English due to international contacts.
  • Occasional short trips abroad for Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
