Description:

Reporting to the Coordinator of Data and Applications, the Desktop and Mobility Analyst is responsible for the effective administration, operation, troubleshooting, security, and ongoing maintenance of departmental desktop and mobility equipment.
The Desktop and Mobility Analyst will be responsible for managing small to medium sized projects for the Innovation & Technology Division including development of planning, procedures and support plans, and assists/supports the Coordinator of Data and Applications related to Division planning efforts.
The Desktop and Mobility Analyst is accountable for the maintenance, support and operation of the department’s technology solutions and will identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions using best practices.

YOUR EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Degree in a technology focused discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Current A+ Certification and Microsoft365 Fundamentals Certification or equivalent certifications.
  • Three years of work-related experience in the deployment/maintenance/support of computers, mobile devices, peripherals, networks, current operating systems, productivity tools, and software applications.
  • Six months experience in a customer service-related field.
  • Experience investigating, analyzing, evaluating and resolving desktop and mobility problems.
  • Previous supervisory, project, or leadership experience is desired.
  • Ability to install and update various commercial and custom developed applications.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Ability to discern business or user requirements and translate them into feasible technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to conduct research and make recommendations.
  • Ability to create and maintain process and system documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain staff morale, foster, develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships with teams, partnerships and alliances, and engage and influence partners to achieve target outcomes.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a variety of contacts.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a variety of contacts.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members and peers.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision, and make sound independent decisions.

  • Knowledge of identity and access management organization and planning.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery concepts.
  • Knowledge of desktop support technologies including:
  • Group Policy
  • Remote connectivity tools and services
  • Scripting
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity including:
  • Endpoint protection
  • Network and firewall concepts
