The Role
Responsibilities: • Manage Citrix XenDesktop virtualization solutions to meet the desktop delivery needs of the organization. • Configure and maintain Citrix XenDesktop infrastructure components including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Studio, Director, and Provisioning Services. • Deploy and manage virtual desktop images, application delivery, and user profiles within the Citrix environment. • Monitor and optimize Citrix XenDesktop performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Citrix XenDesktop with other IT systems and applications. • Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and best practices for Citrix XenDesktop environments. • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT support teams for Citrix XenDesktop related issues. • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to desktop virtualization and Citrix XenDesktop.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, and managing Citrix XenDesktop environments. • In-depth knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop architecture, components, and features. • Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) for image management and deployment. • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and management of Citrix XenDesktop environments. • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols relevant to Citrix XenDesktop (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve Citrix XenDesktop related issues. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V) or Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) certification. • Experience with Citrix XenApp for application virtualization and delivery. • Knowledge of other virtualization technologies such as VMware Horizon or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS). • Experience with cloud-based desktop virtualization solutions (e.g., Citrix Cloud). • Familiarity with storage technologies and their integration with Citrix XenDesktop (SAN/NAS, iSCSI, etc.)
