DETENTION CENTER SECURITY OFFICER QUALIFICATIONS

• BC Security License
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 (provided by GardaWorld)
• Advanced Security Training (AST) (provided by GardaWorld)
• Transport Security Clearance (TSC), RAIC, and Class 4 driver’s license are considered assets.
• Bilingual (French and English) an asset

• Ensure the protection, custody, and control of detained persons.
• Assist and work alongside law-enforcement agencies to ensure safe and secure transport of detainees.
• Recording detainee admissions and discharges.
• Monitor and perform regular searches of cells, detainees, and property.
• Enforce the regulations in effect at your client’s premises.
• Report writing.
