Join our Calgary government client as a Full-stack Developer on an initial 18-month contract and be at the forefront of environmental management system (EMS) development. Our client’s crucial tool for environmental compliance and performance improvement, is evolving rapidly, and they’re in need of a talented developer to spearhead the creation of the fourth module. QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Skills

  • Five plus (5+) years’ experience in designing, building, testing, implementing, and documenting custom software development;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with web and mobile frameworks such as Backbone.js, AngularJS and JQuery;
  • Five (5) years’ experience in UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) design discipline;
  • Five (5) years’ in database technologies, database, and scripting such as Oracle or SQLServer;
  • Five (5) years’ experience with industry standard programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript using Visual Studio;
  • Three (3) years’ experience with React.

Desired Skills

  • Previous experience with Restful APIs along with integrating with rest and soap services;
  • Previous experience with Git, Azure, and DevOps is desired
  • Previous experience with reporting tools such as Active Report and / or PowerBI
  • Previous experience with testing tools such as HPQC

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of the fourth module – Context of the Organization – within the Enviro Portal, ensuring alignment with corporate environmental management objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Develop scalable, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards, while adhering to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct thorough testing of developed functionalities to ensure reliability, usability, and security, identifying and addressing any bugs or performance issues.
  • Integrate Restful APIs and SOAP services, ensuring seamless communication between different system components and external platforms.
  • Utilize version control systems like Git and implement DevOps practices to streamline development workflows and facilitate continuous integration and deployment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers, actively participating in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentoring initiatives to foster team growth and collaboration.
