Description:

Are you a dynamic Band 5 or Band 6 Speech and Language therapist looking to develop your skills in an acute hospital setting.
This exciting post would suit a newly qualified SLT or an SLT with existing experience including in another setting. There will be opportunities to work on a busy Stroke Unit / general wards and to participate in the regular video fluoroscopy clinics and FEES service.
The Speech and Language therapy team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust are a friendly and supportive team. We have regular cross-site team meetings with a strong focus on CPD, on a range of dysphagia and communication topics.
This developing specialist SLT role works on the Adult Inpatient Wards providing developing enhanced skills in the field of speech, language and swallowing problems .
This role will have their own caseload, in line with their stage of development and will be supported and supervised regularly.
This role will develop enhanced dysphagia skills through post graduate training in order to provide specialist and bespoke clinical assessment and rehabilitation management plans.
This role will develop in accordance with a Learning Framework and will transition to band 6 when these competencies are established
